Right to disenfranchise yourself!

What if you didn't want to vote? This question is on the back of my mind for the past 3 months. I actually do not want to vote in the upcoming CA election of 2070. Not because I do not qualify as a citizen of Nepal. I am eligible to vote but I just do not want to. (DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT A BAIDHYA SUPPORTER!) There is couple of reason why I do not want to vote. I will explain them to in a brief moment but here is my question to you. Do you really want to vote? If it's a 'Yes' or even if it is a 'No', ask yourself at the end of the article this question again.

First of all, I want to say this. I am not a huge supporter of Democracy. I believe Voltaire was correct when he said," I would rather be ruled by a lion than hundred mice!" But I am not a supporter of monarchy. Monarchy itself in its purest form means nepotism. Family comes first in most monarch governments instead of ability. What I believe in is modified form of monarchy! It is like meritocracy but with the properties of monarchy. I don't have a name for that system but let us call it "Steve". (I didn't try to Google it!) It is better than democracy in two levels. First, people do not get to elect leaders. That eliminates the chance of someone becoming the leader of the government who is not capable to handle the responsibilities based on popular vote. Second, the leader is elected by might and capability. Who determines that? Well, if I had all the answers, wouldn't I be the one running this show!

The other reason is, frankly the system of election is flawed. Primarily it has too many seats to elect constituents. The second thing is that the seats are divided into two categories. First is the direct election and the second one is "Samanupatik". I didn't want to Google that it either so, let's call it "Ram'. So the flaw with Ram here is that, it means to give the same political parties that failed the country once, the opportunity to send their minions in the CA. That defeats the purpose and the goal of the election. Why do we have the election if we have the same people and the same system and the same chance of failure?

Any hootin, tooting nobody who hasn't passed the 5th grade will get to formulate polices? Do you agree with that? If I understand democracy correctly, a person with caliber should be selected by popular vote.  (Correct me if I am wrong! I didn't Google!) So, why have this charade? This is the biggest flaw. I do not want to vote parties but good people. This should be the only option. But the government is a puppet itself from the parties (Even from those who are in opposition of the government!) that we can't throw it down the drain.

Thus, I do not want to vote. Even if I do only vote the people, not the party and disregard the "Ram", I will be succumbing to the corruption of the parties. Thus, I do not wish to enfranchise myself. That does not mean I support any political party. It also does not mean you should do the same. You should analyze facts yourself and ask yourself again. Do I really want to vote?

Forward

Today, I learned the most important thing (again). I learned that essays are very important. It is not so much of a learning thing but a reminder. These reminders help keep focus in my life. What is life, without focus and a pond without lotus? (Just wanted to rhyme there!) But seriously, I need to keep reminders of what is most important priority in my life constantly, to keep track of what I am doing.  So, here I am reminding myself, "Essay is important!"

I don't know any other way to keep focus. I have reminders to remind me of reminders. It is not because I am careless or anything. But I have the tendency to be side tracked sometimes. Like a baby gets side tracked by shiny things, I get side tracked by shiny opportunities. (Yeah, I am cute as a baby!) Side tracked by opportunities that come not in overalls but casual wear. These opportunities are the bane and boon of my productive life.

I get side tracked but I do value the work that I do. I value every essence of the work that I get involved in. I value the effort put in by others and the passion that they deliver regarding that work. All of this gets working. I get hyped up and in the end, the work gets done and I am still pumped up. Then I remember, I had something else to do and rush to that and finish that. This process hasn't failed me but I am certain that this is not a healthy process.

So, I am an enthusiastic person, to say the least. But I do have the habit of improving. I want to improve and I want to move forward; forward to a better future and a better personality. Forward to a time where I can say that I am not flawed by a dictum. Forward to a stage in life when I realize that I am mature and I am capable of making mature decisions. That will be wonderful, I think.

Rock you like a Hurricane!

At times, one feels invincible about his or her capabilities. The accumulation of power corrupts that certain individual. He or she conducts so many atrocities that it is unbearable to the world. Then, comes a Messiah who saves everyone. It is in those moments that a Hollywood movie starts. The protagonist is obviously there to topple the aforementioned individual.  At the end, the individual perishes and the protagonist wins. (Unless it's Sean Bean, because he is always killed in a movie.)

My question is, why? Why does the person become corrupt? Is it in human nature to be corrupt? Does accumulation of skill and abilities always lead to pride? Isn't it human nature to take credit for what he or she has done? Isn't it human nature for humans to envy superiority? Who defines the fine line between envy and oppression? Is the inferiority of few masked as terror and the oppressor is not exactly the oppressor but a victim of social flaw that eliminates the best? Well, only anthropologists could answer these questions!

I have seen these traits in the social structures. These aspects are mere representations of what goes on truly.  The fear that someone might be superior is the always a threat to humans. That is why we see events such as Wire tapping of government leaders (The recent Angela Merkel cell phone tapping scandal), criticism of rivals in different professions and popularity of boy bands(Hey most guys hate Justin Beiber and One direction because they are famous! I don't like their music though.)

So, in the end it's the superiors who pay the price. Corruption, terror or any other form of fake atrocity is tagged to them and they are thrown away like week old eggs. So, I have decided to be a superior, to be a part of this club who is so despised, yet lauded by society. I will perform such miracles. Go on like a rock star and I will rock you like a Hurricane!

Changes!

Changes that make our life easier do make our lives better.  It is within reason that easy access to different resources save our time, money and strength. Technological changes that save time help us become punctual. Changes that save money will help us maximize the potential of a resource. Changes have been a boon in maximizing human efforts where human strength is required. All of this proves that changes that make life easier are positive things.

For instance, the invention of the Flying Machine by Wright Brothers changed our lives. The course of history was changed when Wright Brothers invented the aero plane. That invention, that change in history made our transportation easier, in turn making our lives better. Before the invention of Planes, tedious travels in motorized vehicles and horse carriages for countless hours wasted our time. Travel from one continent to another was dangerous and volatile compared to the travel in ships. Invention of airplanes eliminated that and made travel easier, consequently making travel better. This is an example of how life when made easier, becomes better.

Last week, my father asked me to clean the car. Now, I used buckets to give the car a wash, it took me hours. Next time, I used a hose and tap water to wash the car. Work became easier for me because of the resources I had. If I had to do it with a bucket, it would have been hard for me and I would have felt bad. Now, I think of it, my life became better of an invention. Change made my life easier and better.

Change helps people and thus makes help life easier. Easier life means less danger and less risk. That helps us become confident enough to do things. In turn, making us feel at ease and making us feel better. Thus, change is a tool that helps life be better.

Douchebags!

"I have been eccentric. I have been called cute. (Yes, I have! Not by mom or grandma or my sister but pretty girls! But that was when I was two year old! Regardless of time, I am cute!) I have been called obnoxious. I have been called brave. I have been called awful. I have been called awesome. I have been called all of these terms in a same sentence. (That was once, from a drunken old man at a party! I get invited to a lot of parties.) What I am trying to say here is, I am no amateur at getting adjectives to my personality.

But, recently I was given a personality adjective that did not suit my character at all. I was called a douche bag. I was called that by someone who knew very little about me. What sort of person does that? So, I decided to change that person's opinion about me. To do that, I decided to tell that person about all the good things I did. It took about four hours and I didn't even mention about my chivalry with the opposite sex once! She was finally convinced. Thanks to my awesome oratory!"

Now, imagine that in bigger scale. I am not talking Twinkies big here but I am talking about the End of the World big! There are people who do this with every one they meet. I am talking especially about those people who think that they are social celebrities. They blabber on about their achievements. On and on and on! "I have done this, that, I have achieved this!" I mean it is one thing to be smug, but other thing to shove it up at the face of everyone. (We get it that you are the first African-American President Obama! No need to gloat!)

These people are the bane of social media too. Endless posts of fake glory are posted all over Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus (Google wishes!) I mean, what is the point. Do you want to show people how great you are? Well, here is an answer buddies! Greatness is measured by the analogy of the human mind and not by analogy of the accolades. If accolades meant everything, Da Vinci never got a Noel Prize.

Finally, this is not targeted to anyone. If the shoe fits, wear it!

The Final Countdown!

...And so, it begins the final countdown!

Judgment day is coming soon, knocking on my door. I have no fear and only little time. I need to prepare to confront that day, the events. Every day I draw closer to the Saturday morning of November 3, 2013, I feel bipolar. Sometimes, I feel insecure and sometimes I have the warm feeling of assurance from the inside of my heart. The emotions fluctuate around the day. Sometimes, the moments are so exhilarating and at times these moments are so banal!

I have waited for this day for over a month. The day is coming as I speak and I have steps to take, measures to put into action, to make the day memorable. The day isn't itself so glorious but the events are. The day is "make or break" for me and I wish it no other way. Heroes in fiction and fantasy always have their 'one day" to shine, I hope than one day for me will be the day that I have been waiting for; the day I give my standardized test.

Unlike other times, it does not feel just like yesterday, when I filled my form for the exams. It feels like a month back (because it was so). This one month culminated to slow and steady ascension to higher scores. I am yet to see the score that I would like to in my practice, nonetheless, progress has been made and I am proud that progress will be made this week as well. If I shall get my target, I will be very happy. My target is confidential, so I shall not share it with you but all I can tell you is this: It's high!

I am going to take all the steps to make the day memorable for positive reasons. I wish to get my other goals too, and this is the ladder to my success.  At the end of the week, my future will be decided along with the future of mankind. Why? As 'Doctor Who' says, "In my travels of 900 years, I have never met any person not important!" Thus, my future may predict mankind's future as well.

Guns to Glory!

The Maharishis of the olden days used to do meditation a lot (or so I am told). Some went to the lush rainforests, some went to the Himalayas and some went to the deserts to achieve Nirvana-inner peace. Thus, meditation is supposed to have a calming effect upon pour personality, our behavior and lifestyle because as established, it is the pathway to inner peace. Like the Maharishis, my meditation is working its magic and showing positive signs too. Though, my meditation does not take me to extreme locations, it is a meditation nonetheless; my meditation of persistence.

This persistence has led me to write every day, at least a few lines. Healthy days, Unhealthy days, festivities, my persistence took me through every day of these sixty days to update my blog and it feels good to act on a promise that I made to myself. The promise that I wanted be an active writer. Not just an active writer, but a writer who takes time to think and write. For me, these last two months have shown many things. I acknowledge my flaws and strengths within my writing in the last two months. This could not have been possible without my persistence.

Now, that persistence is to be duplicated into something else. I have my exams coming up. The persistence that took me here to my blogging should be duplicated, to achieve better in my exams.  That diligence should be the answer to my success and I know it is. But the hardest part is to maintain the persistence. With blogging, you have to only give two hours a day but with studying, it takes countless hours. Marinating focus for such a long time is a Herculean task but I will achieve it nonetheless.

Now, time has come to "Walk the walk!" since, I have "Talked the Talk!" I wish to be happy the day I get to see my official scores and that will only be possible if I work hard. I have the basic skills that are needed to ace that test but all I need to do now is refine those skills. Make them pure and unadulterated weapons and come out Guns Blazing!

Don't be so sad!

Why do you feel regret? When sadness has a death hold on you, a smile is as precious as the gold in your drawer, when a child's playfulness reminds you of every sad  moment you had and every piece of cotton candy you ate, comes back to haunt you like a ghost on a Christmas day longing for presents.  These are the moments that turn us from Jim Carrey to Robert Deniro in an instant. You feel sadness is a deep sea and you are sinking and sinking, never to come out. Well, there is an escape to that. That answer or that escape is Dreams.

Now, I am not talking about your dreams as ambitions or hopes or aim. I am talking about the dreams that you have when you sleep. These dreams are the key to escape from sadness. Lucid dreams are the best way to get even with sadness. But let me first explain to you what a lucid dream is. A lucid dream is a dream where the individual is aware that he or she is dreaming. Now, you might feel that I am nudging towards inception right here but I am not. Even though the movie is great, this does not relate to that. (It might relate to that slightly. Ok, most of it is Inception related!) The only thing important that I express here is that lucid dreams are the best cures to sadness.

How? How are they the cure to sadness? Well, the process goes like this. When you are aware that you're dreaming, you can project your ideas and thoughts into a dream. How does that help? Well, if you are sad that you lost the chess match, a lucid dream can be the place where you can project that you won the match or even dream about beating the boogers out of your opponent. Now, the only question remains, how do we get lucid dreams? Well, there are several ways to get into a lucid dream, as suggested by the internet, but there is one way which I found most effective.  It was suggested by my English friend John who told me of this method couple of months back.

What you do is, whenever you are awake, you check you palm. Do this multiple times in a day. You spread you palms like you are trying to show number five with both of your hands and face them with your eyes. If you do this and make a habit of doing this, chance is that your will check it in your dreams too. It takes at least 21 days to make the habit of checking your palms and whenever you do the same in a dream, you will be able to see the difference from real life and a dream from your palm. That way, you can have a lucid dream.

This is just my way to get over sadness; I do not know what is yours. But I do hope that you can get over sadness much easily than others. Sadness leads to many tragedies and mortal harm and I do not wish it upon anyone that they are at a risk of being at danger.

Suicide, Nobody Cares!

When you jump off a building, when you think they care, that is the point when you have to realize, nobody cares! It is your life at stake here. Why would someone else care about you, if you are in the eighth floor of a hospital building? They wouldn't mind that you jumped but they would just mind that you created a fiasco. People don't want these mercurial personalities in society anyways, so they will just ignore you.

That defeats the purpose of suicide, doesn't' it?  I mean, people suicide because they see no sign of hope, the only way they see is to escape through threats or death. Threats like, love me or will bleed to death, or give me 500 dollars or I jump off a building or, Ben Affleck shouldn't be Batman or I shoot myself. Even though the last one is a thing I support, I don't support the method. Suicide is for the people who are not optimistic. I am an optimistic person and the way I see it, pessimistic people have little to offer to the world. That doesn't mean suicide is viable for them though.

Suicide is incorrect because it is murder. It is murder because you are not only killing yourself but you are killing your unborn children. You are killing your family's hopes and dreams. You are taking your friend away from your friendship. You might think that suicide is the answer but see the amount of bad things it leads to.  Rather than a suicide, why don't you think of doing gymnastics or table tennis or even body building? That ways, you can keep yourself busy, make yourself useful and possibly make yourself attractive.

Suicide is not an option for people. It is a way out which is not exactly a way out. It is like running away from your bullies when you know you can defeat them. Suicide is not a way out because people know that suicide kills. How can we call a way out, "a way out" if we do not live to see it? That does not make any sense.

Surface Judging!

We waste our time with numerous efforts that have little importance. Flirting, joking, watching funny vine videos, and talking about potatoes to your friends along with fart jokes fall under this category. Sure, we need fun at times but when life becomes a roller coaster of these moments and these moments alone, he has to wonder, what am I doing with my life?

There are people out there, who don't care about what is going around in the world. They do not know what is going with politics, economics, education and frankly with everything that is important. Okay! It is your choice to be disinterested in topics like those but when your life is only filled with these topics, what are you supposed to do? These people who have nothing to do but this and call me an overly smug person make my blood boil.

Sure, you are allowed to have an opinion about me but that does not give you the right to call me all of those things, without knowing me first. I could be fun. I could be more fun loving than you could ever be. But that is not the solution you seek. Rather than knowing me, you would ridicule me judging me for my interests. Isn't that hypocrisy? You expect yourself to be treated same but you judge others. That is wrong.

I am not talking about the self absorbed teenagers or people who are frankly bullies. I am nudging towards everyone, even educated people, that they do this. Surface impression will only tell you half the story. Just like a coconut, every human is the best inside. Take time to search for that and see to it that you know that person truly.

Sunday, I love you! Monday too!

The formula for catchy videos is simple. The core target of appeal is: killer catchphrase. A killer catchphrase will make any video viral in today's world, where even sensible people like us can and will watch these videos, and have a laugh. These videos are popular for primarily these reasons.  Examples could include 1 pound fish, Harlem Shake, Gangnam Style and the most recent Sunday morning. (Salute to the guy who shot this video! How could he even handle the camera work without laughing the whole time? Salute! Salute! )

The point isn't that these videos are silly but the point is how do we get the maximum put of these catchy video trends? Upon pondering to this question, I figured out some ways that we could use it for the positive-Heck; I will even use these tricks to amplify my popularity to the sky. There is a slight difference to what the people are doing currently though! Idea is to give content and not only catch phrase!

So, first and foremost, we outline an issue. The burning issue right now is Election. Now, we have an issue, we have to outline all the funny innuendos for the issue. One of the innuendos could be corruption, poverty, human rights, strikes or we could just go with women participation. (These are funny, ever since political parties decided not to worry about these!) So, women participation it is. Then, we can choose wide arrays of viewpoints. We can do it as a viewpoint from a girl, a boy, a father, mother or even that old lady from the bus stop. Let us go with our Mom. (No one like mom!)

Now, we shoot a scene with a funny ending but on a serious note and dialogues that will be out of the world. The dialogue is the main part. If the dialogues are catchy, bad acting will amplify the virality of the video (e.g. Sunday morning Model). All you have to do now is edit and upload your video. Walla, you are now a YouTube sensation. But remember; do share your videos on facebook and twitter! Most of your viewers will be waiting for your video to waste their time!

Fear of the dark!

Sometimes I tend to venture towards the unknown.  It is literally dark at these places most of the times. Hence, I call it the fear of the dark when I am venturing to these places. I really do not know the repercussions of my actions in these places. I am wary of all these ventures but I tend to be inclined to these ventures nevertheless. That is why they call me the dark venturer (how I wish). It is kind of like Batman but without the money, the gadgets, the suits and that god awful voice. (Did you really understand anything when Christian Bale was speaking like that? I didn't!)

But getting back to the point, don't we all love to venture out to the dark? Don't we all like to do something crazy once in a while? Don't we all like to put ourselves in mortal danger? The answer surprisingly is "Yes". There are many called "dumb" people like me out there that who overpopulate the earth with these ideas. The ideas are more in number than the Bengal tigers. (Save the Tigers!) So, why is it that we want to do it? It is because we want a relapse from our mundane lives.

People go to unbelievable lengths to achieve this. Some go to the mall (like me), some go bungee jumping and some who can afford to go to outer space, go there. So there is no telling what people do when they are bored. I heard of a guy once, who tattooed all of his body just because he was bored. This outward jumping thought comes with a price though. The price is fear of all the new things. We may not know what could happen to us and we are afraid. That is why most of the times; the experiences are filled with hazy memories mixed with fear and excitement.

That is the main theme of the drama called life, for many people. Overcoming fear and enjoying things as we go along. Sure we are afraid when we start learning driving vehicles but as we become good at it, driving vehicles does not scare us. The same does not go with drugs and alcohol though. (Never do those things even when temptation is high.) Thus, feel the fear of the dark to overcome it.

Fake Advisers!

There are a significant number of people who have the "big talks" with me. They talk about life; they talk about careers and frankly irrelevant topics about sports. I am comfortable with the last one but for the first two, I really need a distinction of that person to take the advice. Distinction is professional and personal distinction in this matter.  Does this person have a significant role in my life? Is this person professionally, emotionally and socially successful person? I ask these questions before I take the advice.

Most of these people do not pass the second question. Some even don't pass the first question. Whenever that happens, I just watch them comically as they have the big talk but little to show for it. For instance, last week someone told me that dreams should be small so that it can be achievable. A middle class teen should not dream so big. This came from a guy who wasted most of his life partying and doing mediocre things. Now, neither did he pass the second question with flying remarks nor was he a close member of my family. He wasn't even a friend. I told him straight, "I don't take free advice!" There was no point in lying to a person like that.

Why should I lie? I won't take his advice anyways. I don't want him to hope that I take his advice. This is when he said I was rude.  I mean it is sensible to call me rude when I outright reject his proposal but he should have considered this, I was honest to him unlike other people. I do not want to fabricate reality for him, nor do I want him to feel good about something that he tried to but then failed at. So, I just told him his advice was going down the drain. That is what I always do. Even if that makes me rude or if it hurts people's feelings. I respect the concern they have for me but not their advice.

Whenever I give someone advice, I want the same treatment. Call the bullshit if I do it. That will help me and you too. Do not let bad advice be fabricated with a fake smile and a fake acceptance.  That will only be a fake boost for the adviser's ego. I mean, who wants a bad adviser? I wish someone should have hit Ben Affleck's adviser when he suggested he should be Batman. At least we would have been saved. That is what happens when you give fake adviser's fake ego boost!

This is funny! (I promise!)

Funny stuff happens around you all the time. You just have to look for them to have a laugh. Take the casting of Ben Affleck as the Batman in the upcoming Superman/Batman movie. I mean, they must be out of their heads if they really think that this arrangement will work out for them. How long are you going to milk the cow? But getting back to the topic, funny things happen all around us. That is why I refrain from those people who claim that there is no happiness in the world.

Come on. Don't you find politics funny? Who doesn't find it funny that the politicians of Nepal decided to have second CA elections when they clearly failed to draft the constitution the first time? It's literally the same people in the election now. Same people with same old promises! That's got to be funny. If you don't find it funny that the leaders are jeopardizing the country and making it unbelievably hard for middle class to survive, then you are not a Nepalese. It mandates as a Nepali that you should go by any peril without any protest. We hate load shedding, we hate the pollution but no matter what, we love Nepal. We hate politicians but let us not do anything or say anything about it. Let them get the blame but never the flame!

Now, if you do not find the national politics to be funny, let's go international. The GOP in the American Congress decided to shutdown the Federal government just because they could. Their reasons were clear, "We want Obamacare out of the Window!" Since President Obama (the man with plan) did not succumb to their wishes, they had no choice but to reopen the Federal government. So, weeks of unemployment and no paychecks for those employees, how funny is that? I was laughing my backside off (We are not supposed to say ass! Go figure!)

So all said and done. If you ever have a boring day, if sadness ever claims your mentality then be prepared for epic laughter as politicians and politics will make you laugh your backside off. The ultimate comedians who fail to get Oscar nominations for Best Actors and Actresses. I wish one of the politicians played Batman. At least with the lifestyle, girls and secrets, they would be able to pull the role off. Unlike someone we may know. (Ben Affleck)

Politically Correct!

There are few things that are politically incorrect. One is being insesnisitve to handicapped people, the other is being  racist and last but not the least not being a fan of Breaking Bad. (Seriously, if you have the access to the internet or TV, why don't you watch Breaking Bad.) Society does not accept you if you are an inch away from these standards.

So, these wise words from a young man is the key to the modern world. If you are not politically correct, people look at you differently. There is always someone trying to guide you into society. There is always someone on the sidelines who is weak, pathetic and not capable to give you any advice, that does give you advice. In these moments, you should fight them. Don't take their advice either. Just to be politically correct.

Politically correct people are the modern day kings. These people know the ways to get things done. The silver tongue they have, wonders come off it. These people know how to work the people, the system and all in all the world. The modern day is governed by people who can sweet talk more than sweet labor. Thus, if you ever doubt that sweet talking is bullshit, then you are on the wrong side my  friend.

Labor is important though but political correctness is what gets people's eye. Do you like a person who is a hard worker but not a good communicator or a person who is a good communicator in a first meeting? Obviously, a wise choice would be later. Though it is true that we must take laborious people in high esteem but at a first glance the people with good charm affect us more. In today's world, what you show is more important than what you have! That is why, be politically correct!

....and God said let there be light!

Only the almighty heaven stands proof of what we have done as we speculate that there is lack of moral understanding among aliens. This we can concur from the fact that movies from Hollywood depict that most aliens tend to be morally handicap and they will attack the forces on earth. If warranted for proof, I shall present movies such as Independence Day, Attack from Mars, Battleship, and Transformers Series and so on.

Thus, it is sufficed to say that majority believe in aliens. Why would the smart producers milk that cow if it wasn't real? Aliens do exist and they exist among the living populace. There are few normal people in society and most are aliens. Take the emigrants who live illegally in foreign nations. They are regarded as aliens, aren't they?

These aliens are different compared to the aliens we see in movies. These look like humans, behave like humans and in fact, they are humans. These alien-human beings are the ones that are the most in number on this earth. Since, the industrial revolution and the entering of the digital age, the number of these beings has so far increased that these beings could have their own nation if they wanted to.

That is why we should be wary with these people. They are same beings created by evolution or god (whatever you may believe) and need the same rights compared to other human beings. Thus, as God made us all equals and not the same try and live like that. Then at the end of the tunnel, may god give you light!

I want my Money back, Eminem!

Most people in society follow some trend just because the masses agree to that. (Forgive me if I am spot on about your personality.) Most people have so much disgust for such things that if they express that disgust to society, they fear they might be ostracized. They fear as if it is rude to not consider that baby panda at the zoo cute. Though, it is so cute. (It is not cute by the way. What is the Panda trying to prove? That it is mixed breed of Asian, Black and White. What is he trying to be, the Miss World? Political Agenda filled animal!)

That is the irony of things. We declare ourselves to be human, to be selfish, and to regard ourselves as the most heinous of predators in the food chain. We agree to that in full support. Yet, when it comes to personal happiness, we hide our true feelings and give in to society. That is what it has come to, living in a society not made by people but by values which bound every individual. These values are specifically designed to be broken so that we might feel the guilt. So that, the guilt may bind us and not let us enjoy our individual aspirations. False ideologies of perfection have clouded our brains and we adjust ourselves to see society as a pit of despair.

Even the description of a perfect human is counteracted by the mere definition of being human. Every human out there is an equal but not the same. Every person has an equal might but not the same strength. The moment we realize this, we will not need values. We will understand ourselves that no man or woman needs violence or laws to govern society but only mere thought of individual aspirations. These individual aspirations achieved only to profit one but not harm others. That is the true purpose of values from society.

Given the aspirations of man are limitless, how are we supposed to achieve all the limitless aspirations of every being? Well, there is when might and strength come into play. Only a person who uses his or her might and strength can achieve the aspirations. Sitting idle would not do any good and those who wish to achieve individual aspirations by doing so are the criminals who befit the society that we currently live in. This society is merely flawed by the fact that we let those who sit idle enjoy the fruits of our own labor. Yet we never ask the equivalent in return.

So, how do we settle the score? Art is the answer. The idea that sitting idle would do no good is exactly against the dictum of art. Art requires skill, precision, labor, diligence which a person sitting idly by could never provide. Art is the answer because it expresses the society's mind; the mind of the masses if you will. This art is the slap to the so called "civilized" being that we are in a "civilized" society. Thus, only few get meaning of the art while most get inspired.

Enjoyment of this art depends upon interest and person that you are. I would like to say this in regards to what I have said before about selfish aspirations that, I somehow found that Eminem was not good in his album "Relapse". Thus, I would like to say it sucked. Thank You!

Lose to win!

The greatest lessons in humility are learned when you are the doorsteps of failure and you cannot fathom the anguish within. At these moments you wish you had done each step differently but you know that you cannot and it is a mere sentiment of sadness that angers you the most. This anger when projected upon others can have devastating effects . That is why I have adored an age old saying, "Act but not react!"

This dictum as it were could be applied to any form of life altering situations where life stands at crossroads and only one true lane can lead you to success. Thus, losing at the initial phase can help at times but losing at the end is like getting a silver medal at the Olympics instead of gold. You could have had all the glory but you could not because you fell short. That is what silver means for me.

Unlike others I do not take the false proposition of self satisfaction at every step in order to attain happiness. Rather I would express myself and act not react to what I am exposed. Assurance to self even at failure would cause a snowball effect if you will to every failure and it would be lifelong roller-coaster ride of failure after failure. That being said, one must not lose hope at failure or over think the failure from the perception of pride.

Failing is an art unto itself. Failing does not require hours of dedication but it only demands sincerity. Irony is, fate provides failure as a lesson and most take failure as a test. Failure is only a ladder to success as they say but I rather take the elevators. Even elevators can jam up at times but we should never forget, there is a back up generator that will eliminate the chance of taking that ladder.

Given this idea that failure is necessary most worry when they achieve success after success. They are afraid when they earn some amount they think they could not earn, win some tournament they think they would lose or in other terms unexpected success. There is only one explanation for this sort of psychological experience and that is, fear of failure. They have feared failure so much that even at success they fear that failure is around the corner.

This is where the false prophets have acted upon the masses. They have taught that we have to see failure to win. Like the notion, you need to die to see heaven but I reject that theorem. Be honorable of your success. Do not fear failure. Even when you fail, learn. That is about it!

I have got the Festive Fever!

I have an exam coming up and on top of that I have got to write numerous essays. (Don't ask me why!) This is enough trouble to mess my life but I have got the Festive Fever in me that pushes me to get into the colors of the festive season. The colors of red and black and through numbers of 1 to 13. If that was not enough to actually make you understand what I am trying to say then here it is blunt. I am playing cards.

Hey! Not seriously in a gambling joint but in my own home (I am fairly certain that my home is a gambling joint now!). The players are all international standard professional players with a poker face that would make a bay cry even with a split second of stare. This is how serious the game gets when you play with your Uncles and Cousins. All out to get the other's money from their pockets.

On the other hand, I am playing another gamble. The one with the money is minute compared to my exams. I might lose a few bucks  playing cards (Though I always win!), but I am not going to get anything if I lose the gamble of future. I am applying to college and it is a big gamble. I might get nothing or the whole pot and that depends upon my preparation.

This preparation has nothing to do with luck as others might say. It is all a calculated risk and there is only one outcome. You either win or you lose. There is no compromise. Even if you got to a good enough college and not the college you want, then you lose. You cannot and will not win until you get what you want and that all depends on the calculated risk which some call a gamble.

In the wise words of master Yoda, "Do or do not, there is no Try!" He is damn right even if he is a midget green goblin monster from a fictional universe where a bad-ass bounty hunter named Bobba Fett exists!(HE IS SO BADASS!) This should be our motto. Do or do not, there is no try!

Morning! Hallelujah!

Some mornings are very good. You wake up and see that you have fresh breath. You see that the birds are chirping and the sunlight enters your bedroom like a ninja; with stealth and precision. You have a cup of tea beside your bed. Your bowel movements are good and the cherry on the top that is this wonderful morning is news that you have a holiday.

These mornings do not come so often. It is not like every day you get to wake up at 7 am and just chill in your bed. In times like these an artist would love write lines of poetry. He or she would paint if he or she was a painter. Artists tend to do that or so I am told. But I am not an artist although I write poetry. That is why I just watched the scenery from Balcony. The hills of the Kathmandu valley tend to calm me down.

Every morning I have millions of ideas jumping out of my head. Maybe I could write this or maybe I could do that. It never stops to amuse me that I have an idea in mind at all times. Some ideas are so diabolical and some are creative. These ideas confuse me in my head, whether I am good person or not. Whether I can be capable of an evil deed or am I capable of doing enormous good?

These questions believe it or not are at the top of my head. These questions are not just mere questions that I ask against my existence. I would rather ask if I was in the matrix if it were so. I just ask them to see if my moral compass shows north. This moral compass affects me greatly than others. It designs the world I see. If I see goodness in me then I can envision that to the world outside as well. But that is only possible if I am in a good mood.

Every day it is not the same question, but the pattern is same. I ask and I ponder and I answer myself. The state of my mind fluctuates from a maniac to a sensible person in an instant. What if stars were made of oxygen instead of hydrogen? What if I could not drink water but frank Cyanide instead? Would that change my anatomy? Would I have a nose then? Would I even have blood?

Well, that is one of the examples of why I am a wild horse.

Nobel Prize for Peace

The talk of the town right now is Nobel Prize. The Noble prize for Literature, Physics and Chemistry have been announced and I along with the rest of the world is waiting for the Nobel Peace prize. For me, this is like a chess-game because the Peace prize is more of a political game then a simple accolade. My prediction is that Vladimir Putin should be and is the award winner this year. I could be wrong but I am 80% sure of it. I am not his lobbyist put this is just a prediction.

There are several reasons and all political why Putin should be awarded the Nobel Prize considering the political scenarios of the globe. First and foremost, he was very tactful to handle the situation in Syria which is very plausible (credit is where credit is due). That could be the front on which he could be awarded but there are other reasons too.

Russia right now is under Putin's reign and he vows to reform the nation to it's glorious state which was during the cold war. Russia is one of the global leaders in nuclear power which is a threat. But with Putin's reluctant attitude towards war in Syria meant that he is very careful with his resources among other things. This means that he is a clever leader which is an indication to world politics being around his back. So, pleasing him and Russia is a political advantage to the rest of the world.

Other factor could be to show world unity and show the masses that the award means that the Capitalists and the Communists forget their differences and be on the same table. Russia's inclination towards other communist countries is also an issue the West dreads and it would want that bond to be weaker. This prize could be that option to do this. Also, west needs more supporters against rogue nations such as Iran and the North Korea which could be why this award could go to Putin.

Now, I am just spit balling here. If my opinion and my perception shaped world politics then I would be getting the prize instead of  Putin.

Genocide among us!

Yesterday, I saw a very peculiar scene in the TV. A man from a certain political party who had been sentenced 14 months in prison for charges of corruption had been released. The weird thing was that he was received as if he was a groom in a marriage and his party members were there to welcome him.

Now, I have seen celebrities receive such an acclaim when they get out of the jail but this was a politician who is supposed to have a clean character and most importantly be an inspiration. He is an inspiration all right but he inspires people to bad things. He inspires people to have aspirations for money with illegal means and that is not a thing that I agree on.

Corruption in the modern world is equivalent to genocide. You are literally robbing the wealth of the people and in today's world money is life (for many). So, this guy is an equivalent to Hitler who was the villain of the 2nd World War. He killed Jews with his gas chambers and these guys are killing poverty ridden and underfed people with corruption.

You might call this stretching the truth but let us analyze the consequences. Until and unless corruption stops on a wider scale, the country is not going to be stable economically. This will mean more poverty, unstable politics, hindered development, hindered education and so on. This is a direct indication that our HDI (Human Development Index) will decrease. This will mean we will be more poverty ridden and more and more in conflict. Conflict of upper calls and the lower class will be a bane for the country.

All of this being said, we can change. Corruption can only be solved one way and that is teaching reliable moral values. Education with a purpose often works more than economic incentives and that is what we should focus on when we consider this problem. Regarding the guy from yesterday's news, well he is bound to be slapped someday and then be elected the Prime Minister. That is how our politics works, doesn't it?

Five reasons why Nepal does not need a Constituent Assembly right now! (Part-5)

Finally I have reached the end of my list of 5 reasons why we should not have a constituent assembly election in Nepal right now. To recap, constituent assembly is entitled to draft the constitution of the country and that is a huge deal. It is the base upon which the future of the country is going to be shaped and it is not like they are going to redo it if they fail. Oh! Sorry, they did it last time!

So, here is final reason why we should not have a constituent assembly election in Nepal.

5. Baidhya's VS Anti-Baidhya's war
There is a group of politicians led by Mr. Mohan Baidhya. The man was a member of the last constituent assembly but resigned because he saw no way out. He then resigned his party and formed hi own group a couple of years later. Now, he is dissatisfied with the politicians and vows to disrupt the election.

That is outrageous. Even though I do not agree with democracy on micro level, in a macro level when someone decides to be a part of democracy, he or she should follow every process.. So, this guy and his group regardless of all the important issues they take on are trying to psychologically push the government into a corner. He and I might share the same idea of not doing an election right now but he agrees to be a part of it if the head of the government resigns his post as the head of Judiciary. Isn't that terrorizing?

On the other side, The leader of the government wants have all of his ducks on a row. He wants to head the government and the judiciary. There is no system of democracy where Judiciary is ever in the same bed as the Executive. This is the plain harassment of the people and the so called "Intellectuals" who propose democracy be established in our country without the knowledge that democracy is at risk even by the Judiciary.

Now the Baidhya's are at their stand and so is the government. This deadlock is not good because it fosters uncertainty and it decreases the credibility of election. So my suggestion is, do a regular election.

Five reasons why Nepal does not need a Constituent Assembly right now! (Part-4)

So, I am going on with the topic of the week. Yes, I honestly believe that the constituent assembly should be held right now in this point of time for several reasons. I have already given three reasons and now it is time for the fourth one. He is my fourth reason for not conducting the constituent assembly in Nepal at this point of time.

4. Poverty among the people
Let us imagine this scenario. A man who has a hard time earning 100 rupees even working 12 hours a day is asked to donate probably an hour of his time in a day to vote for a candidate who will not visit his village or his area for the rest of the five years. if he misses that one hour of work, it means that he will not be able to feed his family sufficiently. This is the situation for more than 25.16% of people of Nepal. Imagine losing 40% of voters when they are too busy to vote because they need to feed their family.

My question to the supporters and the criticizers of this election is this: have you even thought about the economic condition of people when you talk about your agendas? Even me, I am not surprised that I despise this election because I have to give my time to something that does not provide me profit.

I see that most of the people have same emotions regarding the election. The disappointments from the past and the uncertainty of the future has diverted people's interest from democracy to capitalism. People only tend to think about society when they are satisfied. In a way this is good but it has also fostered corruption and that leads to even more poverty.

Thus, it is unwise to hold this election now form economic point of view.

Five reasons why Nepal does not need a Constituent Assembly right now! (Part-3)

Here we are again with my top 5 upside down countdown of reason why we should not have a constituent assembly in Nepal right now. As mentioned before this is not related to any political party or political agenda but it is mostly my rant against those people who support this election. Just like those people who rant against Miley Cyrus who don't even have a freaking idea what VMA's are!

3. Absence of significant number of voters!
According to some data sources, 2 lakh Nepalese students go abroad for studies. Most of these students are either above 18 or they are 18. That means most of the students abroad are citizens who have voting rights. Counting them alone, we have 5% voters who are not in the country and I believe from experience that these voters will not drop by once election starts.

I have not even counted the people who have immigrated to foreign nations to settle. Most of these are legal citizens who are entitled to vote. These people will miss the election. Now, that means the voices these people will not be heard. Now, you might say that these people abandoned the nation because they immigrated. I agree there but what about the students. Don't their votes count?

These students will tomorrow head the nation and if there are policies in the constitution that is against their methods, who will answer them? So, my point is this. It is futile to do an election as such. We should rather do a regular representative election which will govern the nation. That way development might take its pace and we might be able to bring those people abroad back. In time, we can also do a constituent assembly to settle our egos.

Five Reasons why Nepal does not need a Constituent Assembly right now! (Part-2)

So, continuing with yesterday's article about the election that is going to be organized (organized and not conducted because it is agreed by all without real understanding of the ideas and the schemes). I am with reason number two why we do not need constituent assembly right now!

2.The misunderstanding about democracy among the people.

See many people have no idea about democracy. People think that it is concept where anyone is allowed by law to do anything. Majority have this notion about democracy that you are allowed to do strikes, protests and even pee in neighbor's garden if you are dissatisfied with something. Petrol price rise, attack the bus stops; flood in Terai, protest against the government and no more Comedy Nights with Kapil, pee in neighbor's garden.

Most people do not understand the decent idea. Democracy is a system where people are liable for the happenings in the country. People who have no idea what equal opportunity, equality or equity means cannot vote in an election. People think that democracy means "I have a chance" but they seldom agree or recognize the fact that everyone has a chance. Democracy is a system where everyone who understands decides but in a country where everyone has had autocratic rule for the past 200 years, democracy means the same thing as the Heavens. No one has seen it but everybody agrees that it is the best.

I mean just because we have democracy does not mean it is in full effect. People are yet to learn what they are supposed to do and what they are not. I have no idea why we bother to do a democratic election when people have little idea about democracy. It is plain stupid.

Five Reasons why Nepal does not need a Constituent Assembly right now! (Part-1)

I am going to say this out loud, "I am not a supporter of Baidhya's or any political party." Some might term me as a supporter of their party but here is the thing, I do not believe in communism. I do not believe in a system where there is no ownership of property and skill. So that is out on the open now getting back to the topic, here is why I believe Nepal should not have constituent assembly at this frame of time. I don't mean never but not right now! (That is what she said last night!)

1.The widespread illiteracy in Nepal!

Nepal has very high illiteracy. The statistics of 2011 presents data that 56.6% of adult population of Nepal is only literate. That means 43.4% of people do not know how to read and write clearly. I do not mean to say that people who do not know how to read and write do not understand the issues of the constitution  but it is hard for them to put their issues in the constitution. That means if the percent of people who are not literate participate in the election, I am fairly certain it will do more harm then good.

I am not saying that illiterate people have no intelligence but what I am saying is until and unless we cannot make 80% people literate to understand what rules have been made for them, this will not be good for our society. What if ten or twenty years from now the people who were not a part of this process raise questions about it? What if somebody who is unable to understand the rules in the Constitution break the law accidentally? What if these people want some law and they cannot express it?

All of this will be a major issue to discuss once we think of this election. Maybe last time we failed was because of this. Most people were not able to give value to the process that was going on in the country.

English!! Do you speak it?

This past week my timeline was filled with Mr.Subedi's incident over there at the UN headquarters at New York. For some reason he could not understand the word cuisine and he kept saying "rice".
Although the "Dal Bhaat Power, Twenty Four Hour!" slogan is famous in Nepal, the interviewer found it to be very funny and the video got viral.

After all the laughs and gags had ended in Facebook about the incident, there were a group of people sympathizing with him. While on the other hand youngsters and some old people were sharing the video and making fun of him there some people criticizing the sharers. All in all it turned from a funny incident to a very big issue. People were supporting Mr.Subedi from a point of view that everyone does not have to be well versed in English and some even stated his Curriculum Vitae over the social Network.

So, it is true that everyone should be good at their jobs but it is not necessary that everyone should be well versed in another language. I am even surprised that he understood that accent and the question (some part of it) when most of my classmates who shared those videos can't even spell "serendipity". But that being said it was a fiasco because he couldn't understand it and in a personal level it was kind of funny and we should have left it there.

But no, all of us have to stretch it to unbelievable lengths. It is bad to make fun of someone who has a weakness but while all this went through, it reflected the part of society. See, the majority of people that use Facebook actively from my experience is the population of people from age 15 to 28 from Nepal. I am talking about us using Facebook most compared to other age group. This group of people are the same group of people who have been ridiculed for not having a good command over English in their schools by their teachers. Some of us have even had harsh punishments for speaking Nepali at school grounds. Thus, this regressive teaching method developed a mentality that made an image onto our minds.

The image was "Those who cannot speak English, are dumb asses!" That is the reason why students try to speak with fake accents and make fun of those who cannot. This is my claim against those people who are complaining the people who shared the video and terming the sharers as "Insensitive people". I am not saying that was not insensitive but this has more deeper roots in our society than we are looking at. If we dig deeper the teaching method that fosters a mentality that inability to speak English is inferiority when it clearly not. This teaching dictum is the reason why most have become insensitive to this issue.

But it justified to say that insensitivity is wrong. As Rabindra Mishra Sir said, doing something good is far better than speaking English. But we still have to look at our society and the kind of culture we are fostering. This is an indicator of how twisted our society has become. There are no heroes or villains but just victims and perpetrators in society and roles switch instantaneously. The sooner we realize this fact about our society and sooner we review our education system (Not just formal education but moral education as well), the better!

Why? Why? Why? Laaaady!

The sole reason most of the wars happen is a human's uncontrollable urge to fulfill his or her ego. Don't believe me? Ask Caesar. He wanted to prove the Senate that he should be the king forever when the senate wanted democracy. So, he waged wars to fix the eye of the whole populace and divert them from seeing that he was taking the power of the country.

But in the modern day wars are fought psychologically, mentally and socially. Wars are not fought between empires or countries but they are fought between individuals or ideologies. The wars in the olden days used to fought for ideologies too but now it is clear cut that ideas fight with words, photos, videos, gossip and debates. Sometimes they do take in action in the primeval form i.e. the chair fight between MPs in the parliament. But most of it is fought civilized or is it?

Let us compare the wars from histories to modern day. In those days ,war had a code. You could kill someone but there was point when the killing was justified. There were barbarians too but they had their own code and honor. They had honor above all. But today  you cannot kill someone but can do everything else. You could make someone's life a hell by posting videos, comments, articles, photos, rants, campaigns. The latest example would be the fight that broke between two huge celebrities over the internet. (I am not taking names!)

Today there is no honor between the brawlers. They pull out all shots. Everything is fair in love and war they say but I neither see love nor do I see war because war basically for me is like a bloody Quentin Tarantino movie. But the most ridiculous wars are fought between boys and girls who supposedly loved each other at a time. I mean if you really loved that someone wouldn't never talk something bad about that person? I mean that is like idiocracy at best.

Mankind has evolved and prospered into the digital age just to see two people fight. The amount of electriciyt, internet used to rant about someone could actually benefit a boy in Africa to study and fulfill his lifelong dream of going to Disneyland (I am assuming he has heard of Disneyland!). So, it is better to hear people talk about olden wars then them saying,"Why? Why? Why? Laaaady!"

Attention is Success!

Concentration is vital for any activity. If you are not focused enough for something, trust me it is not going to work out. Hard Work, focus and Public relation is the key to success in the 21st century. But until and unless we do not achieve the concentration ,we cannot do hard work and people relation without hard work is like selling ice cream without any ice cream.

Diligence requires passion and undivided attention. Undivided attention is only achieved if we have an interest towards something. If we do not have an interest for say baseball then trust me we cannot play baseball. Even if we are given a chance to play for the New York Yankees, we will not be able to play for them. That is the rule of the mind.

Mind that controls us and determines our likes and dislikes. Just like Facebook, a mind has a million things going on at once and it is pretty hard to keep focus. So, how do we do it? Here is the answer, just like Facebook we can just focus on one thing at a time. For instance if we are talking to a cute girl or guy, we do not care about giving a like to a status that say "Bridges!"  Same way, we can weed out the possibility of giving attention to things such as the stain on the wall while we are studying. Compare the stain to the bridge and the books to the cute girl or guy. Attention comes automatically.

So it is not a matter of how much we think, it is a matter of how much we do to maintain focus. We can think of thousands of ideas to increase focus but we can only achieve it if we do something to prove it. Until and unless, we do something to restore our focus, our actions will only be words and they will amount to nothing.

We will be in category of the have been's and the have not's. We do not wish to be that, do we? I thought so. So, our agenda is to be focused onto what we do and keep on the thought longer and act on it and maybe we can achieve it.
