The double standard!

When was the last time you watched a football game of your favorite football club? When was the last time you watched in a pub or in public? Whether it was long time back or last night, there is always a character in public midst all the viewers who condemns the clubs and so called “corporate control”. That person could be anybody but I can surely say with personal experience that I have seen at least one of these people who make these comments. In these moments I have wished to punch the person in the face and I might go out and say, you would want it too!

But if that somebody is someone you know then you can also agree with me that, the same person will watch a country versus country fixture with no comments at all. The problem is not that the person disturbs your interests with his comments whereas he enjoys the game when it is in his or her terms. But the problem is that person is a big hypocrite!

Let me make it clear to you, a country is a franchise itself. Whether you believe it or not, when there is a fixture between countries the audience is divided into camps without a question. Even if it is a country that you do not belong to, you make up your mind to support it. It is a double standard on the part of the hypocrite. He or she claims the corporate maniacs are dividing us while we watch professional football and profit whereas he or she enjoys a Word Cup match.

The hypocrisy does not end there my friends. Hypocrite like those may claim that the money pumped into professional sports, the advertisements and the money making scandals are the tools which make us corporate puppets (which is true by the way). But isn't that the same with a country versus country games? Isn't it the same players most of the time? They may say that it is a country’s pride and reputation at stake in such a game but how so? Isn't it one way for the government to ensure people are entertained so that they do not question the government? If we try and tackle them while we watch a game, they make a big scene and disturb the viewers watching the game. That is another moment when we would want to punch them in the face.

The policy of every government, religion, idea, corporation and pretty much everything is to divide the masses and conquer. The British conquered India using same methods and today too we are all conquered by the same principle. When we see every religion out there, the idea dictates to unite for common good and god. “Our god is true and we are united as humans.” The double standard there is that the god is said to be true which divides humans itself because of the multiple numbers of religions out there and follows with a contradictory statement of uniting people together. Hypocrisy at its best and there is little difference between these hypocrites and the ones who disturb our game.

What I am trying to say here is not to damn religion, countries or corporations. The message that I am relaying here is; DO NOT FALL FOR HYPOCRITES. Enjoy what you love and if some hypocrite tries to get in your way of having fun, beat them with their own logic (not while you watch the game though).
