Genocide among us!

Yesterday, I saw a very peculiar scene in the TV. A man from a certain political party who had been sentenced 14 months in prison for charges of corruption had been released. The weird thing was that he was received as if he was a groom in a marriage and his party members were there to welcome him.

Now, I have seen celebrities receive such an acclaim when they get out of the jail but this was a politician who is supposed to have a clean character and most importantly be an inspiration. He is an inspiration all right but he inspires people to bad things. He inspires people to have aspirations for money with illegal means and that is not a thing that I agree on.

Corruption in the modern world is equivalent to genocide. You are literally robbing the wealth of the people and in today's world money is life (for many). So, this guy is an equivalent to Hitler who was the villain of the 2nd World War. He killed Jews with his gas chambers and these guys are killing poverty ridden and underfed people with corruption.

You might call this stretching the truth but let us analyze the consequences. Until and unless corruption stops on a wider scale, the country is not going to be stable economically. This will mean more poverty, unstable politics, hindered development, hindered education and so on. This is a direct indication that our HDI (Human Development Index) will decrease. This will mean we will be more poverty ridden and more and more in conflict. Conflict of upper calls and the lower class will be a bane for the country.

All of this being said, we can change. Corruption can only be solved one way and that is teaching reliable moral values. Education with a purpose often works more than economic incentives and that is what we should focus on when we consider this problem. Regarding the guy from yesterday's news, well he is bound to be slapped someday and then be elected the Prime Minister. That is how our politics works, doesn't it?
